LUMI Keys not turning on or not lighting up
A LUMI Keys that seems dead is usually just out of battery, or connected to an app that doesn't send any light. Go through these steps in order.
It won't turn on
Charge it with a USB-C cable plugged into a wall charger, not a computer, for at least an hour. A fully empty battery can take a while before the keyboard reacts. Then press and hold the power button for a few seconds. If it still shows no sign of life with another cable and charger, contact ROLI support: it is likely a hardware issue.
It turns on, but the keys don't light up
The lights are controlled by the app you play with. Check that the keyboard is detected: open the free MIDI keyboard test and press a few keys. If nothing appears, follow keyboard not detected.
Lights in DOLI PIANO
In DOLI PIANO, the keys to play light up in Guided and Rhythm modes and switch off in Free play. Use Google Chrome, keep the tab in front, and close ROLI Dashboard or other music apps that may be using the keyboard at the same time. Then open DOLI PIANO and pick a song.
